Image of one of three new types of tobacco products from Camel (Camel Dissolvables) made of finely milled tobacco. The products are to be test-marketed in Columbus, Ohio and Portland, Oregon beginning in January 2009. The Camel Sticks (available in "mellow" flavor style, 10 sticks per package) can be placed in the mouth like a toothpick or broken into a piece that is placed between the upper lip and gum. Sticks can last about 20 to 30 minutes before dissolving completely. Each product uses child resistant packaging and is expected to be sold at a price comparable to a tin of Camel Snus.
